I made these illustrations for a magazine called Tijdschrift Ei. Wilke Martens wrote a story called Tweeëntachtig Turfjes / Eighty-two Tally Marks. It's about a girl and her complex family relationship, especially with her mother. The text is full of these little details that I could play with in my illustrations.
